This is the ridiculousness of the HDMI spec, where as they do not require ALL devices to handle ALL protocols. Has anybody else had this issue. Then tonight I turned on my system again and loaded a standard-def disc into the BD30, and again I got the U73 error. news I have tried all settings suggested on various forums and still no luck. I am a member of that club despite never actually having a problem myself. I should add that the Westy works perfectly with the Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray player - and that the BD-35 works perfectly with my Samsung LCD display in 1080p mode using HDMI. German Submarine U 73

Any other ideas before I give up ? If you have a long (12+feet) HDMI cable and it is a cheap cable this could be the issue. If the projector is on it will play fine and if I turn the projector off then it keeps on playing just fine...very frustrating. Displaying all posts.
